Name update

Hey...great minds think alike! Abigail Joy is a very sweet name...but *twinkle in eye* ...we can neither confirm nor deny any guesses!....just yet. Still taking more ideas...will add them to the list below.

Name will be revealed on the day we lay our hands on her. Then we'll introduce you! Sorry Tyler and Ana...you'll have to wait a little longer....all of our kids have done super, keeping this secret. All except for Sophie...who doesn't know! =)

Our travel dates for sure are January 7-23rd. I imagine we will have "Gotcha Day" on Monday, Jan. 12th.

Hang in there, A.J.....Daddy and Mama are coming!

We HAVE travel dates! January 8-22 or 24th. This will give Paul time needed to recover from surgery! Jordan's Christmas vacation may be consumed with doing school work! We are thrilled and can't wait to board that plane! 17 days and counting! We plan to use our blog for daily journaling and pictures...(not paying for the service this time around).

That takes a lot of "Gall"

Paul began with thinking he had the flu, then thought it might be food poisoning, then his heart! After a trip to the Urgent care clinic, and being sent to the hospital emergency...a CT scan turned up the culprit. It turned out to be a very sick gall bladder. Usually surgery for this would be laparoscopy which is 3 small incision, but his gall bladder was like tissue paper falling apart, so they had to do it the old fashion way...open him up with a 10 inch incision to clean it out well. He was in the hospital 5 days. We are so thankful to God, that this did not happen in China. As it is, he should be moving pretty well by the time we go. Jordan's position on the trip has just changed from tourist to luggage carrier! Paul is recovering well at home. Glad to have a shower! and medicine!

Isaac and family came to dinner

Tyler, Ana, Isaac, Randy and Bev were over for dinner. Isaac was so cute eating spaghetti! He and Sophie ended up with the plastic play food. Not near as good, but a lot less messy!

The Annual Tree Hunt

Each year, we trek out to the woods to find our $5 Christmas tree. The trip is usually an adventure! This year the group included the Secks, Crawfords, Mohlers, Bowmans, Morgans, and Ernest! Now Ernest is our adoptee from San Jose. He has been up here counting fish in the lake for 9 months or so. We have had fun introducing him to the country side of life. And today...it was "hunting" trees! He is the TALL Tiawanese guy in the back of the group. Travis and Jordan were especially adventurous, scooting to the the tops of trees and hanging around like monkeys. Of course, there is always food involved and a fire to keep warm by.
