Sophie's 3rd Birthday!
This is a busy month for birthdays! We didn't plan a party for Sophie yet...that is to come when I can get most of the family together. But here are some highlights from her day...Tyler, Ana and Isaac took her to Coldstone, where she enjoyed a cotton candy cone. And she loved getting clothes for a present...such a girl! She is modeling them below.

Happy Birthday to Me!
JUST ANOTHER SATURDAY...JUST ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE!!!
Paul spent the morning at an emergency elder meeting...Lindsey and Jordan were practicing a skit for evening church service...so I cleaned house while Sophie played. Most enjoyable was the late afternoon. Tyler, Ana and Isaac came by to wish me a happy birthday, bearing gifts which included a beautiful pot of daffodils! My favorite...just needed a sprig of almond blossoms...hehe. Always the biggest treat is having my family around! I am so blessed to have them all! Tyler's left...then Travis came to spend the evening. He gave up going to watch an OIT basketball game to play Scrabble with Mom. I made pizza...Paul went to bed, still recovering from being sick...Lindsey surprised me with a cake from Baskin Robbins...chocolate with moca almond fudge ice cream. Yumm!! As you can tell with JUST family around, they dug in with their fingers....oh the joy. By the way, Travis wasn't flipping anyone off in the one picture, he was just finishing licking his fingers.

Happy 19th Birthday, Lindsey!
Celebrating Lindsey's birthday was a family affair. We even enjoyed the company of Grandma and Uncle Larry who were here for the evening. Lindsey's request for dinner was homemade spaghetti...Isaac really liked squishing the beans between his fingers! Wow! What a blessing God gave us when he gave us Lindsey. Not only is she beautiful on the outside, but more importantly, she is beautiful on the inside. Her heart for God is evident...she is quiet, but strong, a talented singer (that we don't hear enough of), artistic....
Lindsey, it has been a joy to watch you grow...and more recently, to step out of your comfort zone to accomplish things that are important...things you feel led to do. May God continue to be the light that leads your heart to countless blessings and fulfilled dreams.

Misc. January
Just some odds and ends...mostly of Sophie, but there are a couple with Lindsey and Travis...notice Travis is MOPPING the floor, while on the cell phone with Jenny...whatever, as long as he gets it done! Also notice our beautiful baby grandson...aren't those cheeks so kissable! Sophie with friend, Brenna are singing "Lord I Lift your name on high..." with the motions.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!
This January has produced the most snow we have seen in the 11 years we've lived here. We have thoroughly enjoyed the 4 feet of white powder. Kept the shovels and snow blowers busy! I think we made the national news for being a town...sold out of snow shovels. Wow! The driveway was a great sledding hill...Sophie even went down a few times on her own. We've had a couple weeks now of cold, but sunny. Gotta love God's beauty in each passing season!

Winter Weekend Entertainment

Ok... we are slow to enter new info and pics... just learning and haven't had a lot of extra time. I decided to try it myself and not wait for Paul to teach me. So here goes. Basketball season is coming to a close. We are now at the district playoffs, playing for a seeded position at state. Triad boys finished 2nd in regular season play and the girls had a undefeated season for the 2nd year in a row. Lots of road time over the past 3 months traveling to games 1-3 hours away (each way). Sophie has been real trooper, missing regular naps... meals... bedtimes... dining on concession stand food (with dad) and occasionally getting to ride the new team bus. It will be nice to have our life back....
