On this day, we trekked over to the Vatican City.
The Line for St. Peter's Basilica.
We were there early.
Uh-oh...Jordan's in trouble. What to do with his knife! Under protest,
he slid it under a railing with hopes it would still be there when we got out.
The top is statues of the 12 apostles, and Jesus in the middle.
The huge courtyard in front of St. Peter's is where the Pope addresses the crowds.
The mosaics of Bible scenes were quite awesome.
This statue of Mary with Jesus is now behind glass because some guy attacked it (1970's or '80's) and broke a finger off of one of them.
This huge marble piece is over a doorway. It wasn't really interesting until Jordan pointed out the skeleton holding up the opening.

Standing IN the ray of light!
We must be getting closer!
Jordan is glad to see his knife!
This was a constant! Checking the map. In fact, it was a popular thing to do, as on most street corners, you could find other people doing the same thing!
These 2 battled it out!
Gelato!
Yummy!
Italian pizza...yummy too!
Which one would I like?
Aw...nuts! Don't know what these were, but they looked good!
