Thy Word Have I hid...

...in my heart, so I might not sin against thee.
Psalm 119:11
Most of the kids at church have been working on a chunk of scripture to memorize.
Levi and Sophie had 2 John, which has 13 verses.

Levi:  2 John 1-8
The elder, to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in the truth--and not I only, but also all who know the truth-- because of the truth, which lives in us and will be with us forever;  Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father's Son, will be with us in truth and love.  It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking int he truth, just as the Father commanded us.  And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning.  I ask that we love one another.  And this is love;  That we walk in obedience to his commands.  As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.  Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world.  Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.  Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.

Sophie:  2 John 9-13
Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching , do not take him into your house or welcome him; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.  If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him.  Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.  I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink.  Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.  The children of your chosen sister send their greetings.

So....How much scripture memory am I doing?
Easy to expect from our children...but am I leading the way?
If I no longer had a Bible, what could I recall?
I think I have had my first personal dose of socialized medicine.....and it was bitter!  May the Lord keep our family extra healthy.

IF there is anyone still out there, I am finally up to current,  after a major push of the photo dump truck.  I hope someday to have this blog made into a scrapbook, for I am too busy to keep up any other way! I don't have much to write, so I will let the pictures tell the stories!

Childhood...

May we appreciate it's Joy and Simplicity, it's Exuberance!
For everything there is a season,
and a time for every matter

Fall ALWAYS brings to me a more vivid appreciation of my blessings!
After a clamoring summer, the thoughts of hibernating in a warm home, draw my attention inward.
What a beautiful Day...with my Children!
I cannot imagine life without these gifts from God.
Oh sure, I sometimes lament the fact that I have NO time for scrapbooking...
but, my scrapbooks will burn away in the end.

Too BIG to meander through the maze....
Levi just jumps over it!
I think this is called Midnight pumpkin
